The bulk of the clothing we sell is either:
- Cotton
- Polyester/Cotton (usually 65% polyester)
- Polyester

Polyester is the usually the most expensive option, but it is also the easiest care. You can wash it at high temperature and it dries quickly. It won't lose its shape or colour and doesn't need ironing.

For most people polyester is the most comfortable to wear. It breaths and wicks moisture from the skin. Polyester polos come in different finishes, from very smooth to waffle.

The drawbacks with polyester is that if you sweat heavily, it will hold that sweat and can become a bit smelly - but then you can, unlike cotton, wash it at a high temperature. The other is that it can pull, which is why we rarely sell it to the building trade.

Cotton is a traditional fabric that everyone is familiar with. Many people consider it more comfortable to wear and it is usually the cheapest option. Basic tees are all made from cotton. It is tough and hard wearing.

The drawback is that it does not breath and is hotter in summer - this also makes it unsuitable for sport. The biggest drawback to cotton is that if you wash or dry it at a high temperature, it will shrink as well as lose its colour and shape. And you will have to iron it.

Poly/cotton is usually 65% polyester and the rest cotton. It feels like cotton and most people would not be able to tell the difference.

However, with 65% polyester it has many of the properties of polyester. It is much easier care than 100% cotton.

Other materials - we are starting to see a number of eco materials such as bamboo. As yet we are unfamiliar with how these products will perform, but from the samples we have seen they are a high quality material you would have no problems wearing.

But perhaps the most obvious feature is that these garments are high priced.
